The Early Days
Northern Air Support Ltd. (NAS) began helicopter charter operations after its incorporation in 1993 operating as a stand-alone company supporting mineral exploration in the Canadian Arctic. Very quickly, NASL expanded its customer base to include the oil & gas and forestry sectors in Western Canada. In 1998, NASL was purchased by an organization who brought with them 35 years of experience in the helicopter business. Through the support of this organization, NAS was able to further establish itself as a self-sustaining company with a clearly defined future.
